Searching

I ran across a long poem (which I am not going to bore you with the whole thing) that struck a cord in my heart. This pretty much sums up how I have felt so far this year.

                                                              AMPLIUS

I must make my way to the mountains,
and find a path to the sea,
let the far and silent places
                                              become a part of me,
for my world has grown so small,
that there is no room at all
                                       for my spirit twisting, turning
                                              to be free.

thank you, John David Burton, for such an impelling look at my life as it is today. The poem in it's entirety is found in the book 'Fire In The Soul' by Richard Lyon Morgan.

Grief is such a journey after the Alzheimer's journey you have been on.

Yes, I believe for you, that the Great Caregiver in the heavens will guide you with His wonderous might as you expressed in your wonderful, thoughful poem.

Hugs and prayers,
Carol

You have started on your new journey and that in itself is a good thing. i have always thought the if our fathers or husbands were not such good guys it would be much easeier. When the ones we lose are good kind caring people it makes it so much harder because all the beautiful little special things in life reminds us of them. But one day you will be able to enjoy those special times again with joy and not through longing...thinking of you and glad that you have had a couple of good days.

What an inspiring and beautiful poem....

Isn't it wonderful when we come across jewels, like this poem, to lift us up as we go through this journey of life.

Thinking of you each and every day!

This is a wonderful poem, Mom. You looked so much better today as we visited and I am so happy to see that you are on that path to the peacefulness.
